Salsa and Merengue

I went to "Calor Tropical" tonight, a Latin-themed dance party thrown by Casa hispanica. They hired a really cool instructor (the same one that taught at last year's Tech date auction) to give Salsa and merengue lessons. The event was publicized widely, so there were men from other schools (mostly tech) there...so no, for any of you smart asses ::ahem:: Brian...No, the event was not all women. I had a lot more fun than I thought I would, and I actually danced which is unusual for me to be sure. My friends tell me that I didn't look too incredibly stupid, but I'm not sure I believe them. Dancing is generally an emotionally trying activity, and I've never really been good at it. For some reason tonight though, I wasn't reall as self-consious as usual, and I think that helped me loosen up a little and have a bit of fun.

There's not much else to be said. I went to "Mayretta" with my friend Rachel today. We went to my house, picked up some random stuff I wanted, and I visited my cats :) yeah yeah...I know I'm lame...but I love them. Also took a quick trip to Old Time Pottery. not interesting.

yikes. It's way later than I thought. If I want to rouse myself for dim sum in the morning, I need to get to bed now :)
